I like this video because it's really fun, and great to dance along to, which is typically related to pop and pop videos, lots of colour, and that kind of messy/fun look. I also like how the video is acting out the words in the song sometimes, this video is performance and narrative because although the actual singer is acting in the video, she is acting and putting on a show but also miming along to the words at the same time.

Kesha Rose Sebert (born 1/3/1987) is better known by her first name, she is a singer songwriter. New to the scene of pop, but already very influential to music, in 2009 she released her debute single 'Tik Tok' which reached number one in eleven countries.
At the age of eithteen she was signed to her first record lable, she has been an active musician since 2005 but most of her work has included writing songs for other artists and singing background vocals, her big break was when she sung with Flo Rider in 'Right Round' she was then moved to RAC Records.
Her debute album 'Animal' was released early this year.

Lady Gaga: Eh Eh (nothing else i can say)


I like this song but the only problem is that it already has a song video to go with it, however this is not one of her popular song videos so not many people may have seen it, which would be good for us if we decide to make our own video to it because there wouldn't be a really high standard level to compete with.
Though i do think this video is really good, i love the use of bright colours to make it seem 60's, this is reinforced by the costumes and props, there is a lot of floral material in this video which we associate with the 60's and 'flower power'. This video is supposed to be set in Italy, which is represented by them being in a pizza bar, a traditional Italy related dish.
All the use of symbolism makes me realise that when we eventually make our video, it might be better for us to use props and costume and location that contains symbolism of the image we are trying to create.

This is the woman I view to be the most influential woman of pop culture, her extreme videos have continuously caught the media's attention.
The outfits that also apparently are made to suit her personality are very 'out there'. At the MTV music video awards last year she stunned people in her five outrageous outfits, as well as this she came out with an amazing yet very dramatic performance of her hit single paparazzi, but what is lady gaga if not dramatic? Her performance included suspending her self above the stage dripping fake blood everywhere, I admire her since there is no other singer/performer out there right now who would ever do something as crazy as this, but this is what has gained her tens of thousands of fans all over the world.
Lady Gaga was born as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta on March 28, 1986.
She is signed with Streamline Records, an imprint of Interscope Records. During her early time at Interscope, she worked as a songwriter for fellow label artists and captured the attention of Akon, who recognized her vocal abilities, and got her signed to his own label, Kon Live Distribution.
Her debut album was called 'The Fame' it reached number one in the UK, Canada, Austria, Germany and Ireland, and reached the top-ten in numerous countries worldwide. Her first two singles were 'Just dance' and 'Poker Face' which both became international hits. Shes says she is inspired by glam rock artists such as David Bowie and Queen as well as pop musicians such as Madonna and Michael Jackson.
Her Latest song is called Alejandro, I love this song it has such good lyrics, however when i heard it i though of romance and Italy, a nice summery video, Which of course was not the case for Lady Gaga, it is the complete opposite to how you would think of it, she has captured a very controversial image to what you expect from the lyrics and the video is shown as dark and tormented, but surprisingly it works very well.

Our group has narrowed our choices down to four artist, who's music we like and think we could create our own video to.
We thought it was a good idea to choose a song that doesn't already have a music video too it, since we are looking at quite well known artists we didn't think we could create a video to compare to what they have already done, but using work that they haven't created a video to could be useful to us, however there are a couple of songs in our choices that do have videos, but we felt that they looked like it would be achievable for us to come up with a more creative idea.
