Our spider diagram

All of the things we have written down on our spider diagram are all of the ideas we have had so far to do with our song, and what we want to include in our video.
We discussed all of these ideas in our first group meeting.
We talked about location ideas, for example we are thinking about having one scene in a bedroom and having one of us jumping around on the bed, again this enforces the girlie, sassy attitude we want our video to have, also because the bedroom will be pink and white which are girlie colours, and then we need to think about the costume we would use in this scene.
We have also thought that instead of using our original idea of having one main girl character, we would use all four of us in our video because it makes more sense to our song we associate this with one part on the song lyrics in particular 'Alright so this is a song about anyone, it could be anyone' it would be more fitting to have four girls in it and at the end them meeting up to show they are friends and all together on their opinions of men shown through in the lyrics in the song.

Lilly Allen Knock 'em out lyrics

"Knock 'Em Out"

Alright so this is a song about anyone, it could be anyone.
You're just doing your own thing and some one comes out the blue,
They're like,
"Alright"
What ya saying,
"Yeah can I take your digits?"
And you're like, "no not in a million years, you're nasty
please leave me alone."

Cut to the pub on our last night out,
Man at the bar cos it was his shout,
Clocks this bird and she looks OK,
Caught him looking and she walks his way,
"Alright darling, you gonna buy us a drink then?"
"Err no, but I was thinking of buying one for your friend..."

She's got no taste hand on his waist, tries to pull away but her lips on his face,
"If you insist I'll have a white wine spritzer"
"Sorry love, but you ain't a pretty picture."

[Chorus]
Can't knock em out, can't walk away,
Try desperately to think of the politest way to say,
Just get out my face, just leave me alone,
And no you can't have my number,
"Why?"
Because I've lost my phone.

Oh yeah, actually yeah I'm pregnant, having a baby in like 6 months so no, yeah, yeah...

"I recognize this guy's way of thinking..."
As he comes over her face starts sinking,
She's like,
"Oh here we go.."
It's a routine check that she already knows, she's thinking: "They're all the same."

"Yeah you alright baby? You look alright still, yeah what's your name?"
She looks in her bag, takes out a fag, tries to get away from the guy on a blag, can't find a light,
"Here use mine"
"You see the thing is I just don't have the time."

[Chorus]

Go away now, let me go,
Are you stupid? Or just a little slow?
Go away now I've made myself clear,
Nah it's not gonna happen,
Not in a a million years,"Knock 'Em Out"

Nah I've gotta go cos my house is on fire,
I've got herpes, err no I've got syphilis...
AIDS, AIDS, I've got AIDS!

Our Final Song choice

This is our final song choice, its called Knock em out and it's by Lily Allen. We have chosen to do this song because it's fun and upbeat and we didn't want to do anything too serious, this is a song we can have real fun making a video too, we have already been discussing ideas in our group, of things we are going to include in our video. This song also doesn't have a video too it. which means we really have a chance to be creative with it, however we think we should kind of keep in theme with how Lily Allen does most of her video, that we have seen already, though again it doesn't appear like she take them too seriously and like hes having fun, which is exactly what we want to do for our one.

Meeting Log

Meeting Log

This is our groups meeting log, so far we have met up to discuss our band name and also to write up our spider diagram and to talk about locations we could use in our video and costume ideas.
We are trying to meet up once a week outside of lesson time to keep up to date with what we are wanting to do, for example if we begin to discuss locations of where we want to film some of our video now it means that when we get the cameras before Christmas we can go out straight away and know exactly what we want to do, and not be messing about.
Also writing all our ideas down on a spider diagram means that because we have had loads of ideas for our video quite early on we dont need to worry about forgetting the ideas we have had now.

Bands I would like to make a music video for

The original ideas from our group was wanting a make a music video for one of the following people/groups.

Katy Perry - Peacock
Lady Gaga - Eh eh, Alejandro
Kesha - Disgusting, get in line, your love is my drug
Lilly Allen - The littlest things, 22, Not fair
The Kooks - Always where i need to be, Sway, She moves in her own way
Pixie Lott - without you

However after we have thought about our choices in more detail, we thought it would be best if we used a song that didn't already have a video, so we wouldn't be tempted to do something similar to the original.
We have decided to do a Lilly Allen song called Knock em out. It's fun and bubbly and doesn't have a video, although Lilly Allen is a well known artist we think that recreating a fun, lively video like she does will be something good to do, and the audience wont be shocked at how far we have taken the video from the artist original music video style because we wont take it very far from what is normaly expected from Lilly Allen's type of music videos.

Mood Board

Mood Board
Our groups music genre is pop. When I think about pop music, I think of bright colours, crazy outfits and really Bright colours, the new phrase people use today is the term 'pop culture' because so many people relate it into their life, weather its with their fashion, hairstyle, or music likes and dislikes. Pop relates with happy fun exciting and playful music, which is what we are going to try and collaborate into our work. Pop is usually music that talk about love, relationships, dance, holidays and all the things that seem to make people happy, there is never any pop associated with loss, death or violence. the music it's self usually contains strong base, and instruments such as electronically edited sounds, drums, acoustic guitar sometimes keyboard and also piano.
I found my images from google search engine, by searching different things such as, pop, bright colours, pop music, and girly.
